About PinPredict

PinPredict is a new, fully remote market maker on prediction markets, funded by a tier 1 operator to build next-generation trading systems, leveraging huge industry IP and resources from that operator.

Our founding team includes true industry veterans with a vision for the future. We are building a lean, fully remote, senior team focused on high-performance systems, pragmatic engineering, and rapid iteration.

Who we are

02Mandate

The mission

Design and build exchange gateways, trading strategies, and supporting services that power the prediction market trading platform.

03The work

What you will do

  • Design and implement low-latency services in C#/.NET for market data ingestion, order routing, and risk controls.
  • Use Python for non-hot-path components such as research tooling, data prep, or automation.
  • Integrate with platform primitives and data stores (Kafka, Redis, Postgres) with an eye toward resilience and performance.
  • Contribute to domain modeling for prediction markets (instruments, orders, fills, risk, P&L).
  • Build and evolve exchange gateways using FIX for order entry, WebSocket for market data feeds, and REST for reference/static data — with robust fault tolerance throughout.
  • Write clean, testable code; uphold code quality via reviews, automated tests, and thoughtful documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with infra, trading, and front-end to iterate quickly and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Instrument services for observability and participate in on-call to own what you build.

04Requirements

What you bring

  • 7+ years of backend engineering with a strong focus on C#/.NET in production.
  • Solid Python skills for tooling and integration (non-hot path).
  • Proficiency in concurrent programming, streaming/event-driven designs, and data-intensive systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka (or similar), Redis, and relational databases (Postgres preferred).
  • Protocol fluency: FIX (order entry — nearly all exchange gateways will be FIX-based), WebSocket (market data), and REST (reference data). Deep FIX experience is a significant plus though not a strict requirement.
  • Ownership mindset, product sense, and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a startup environment.
  • A genuine curiosity about and comfort with AI tools. You are already using AI to accelerate your work, you experiment on your own time, and you are energized — not intimidated — by how quickly this space is evolving. We are all learning together, and we want people who approach that with enthusiasm.

05Required

Domain knowledge

Strong candidates will have meaningful experience or demonstrated interest in one of the following:

  • Sports betting — You have hands-on experience in the industry (trading, technology, risk, or operations) and are excited to bring that expertise to prediction markets.
  • Financial markets / prediction markets — Exchange, derivatives, or prediction market background with a genuine interest in sports trading.
  • Independent depth — Side projects, research, or self-directed learning demonstrating real engagement with sports betting, financial exchanges, or prediction markets will be given serious consideration.

06Bonus

Nice to have

  • Some exposure to front-end systems and real-time UI requirements.
  • Experience with risk management, market-making, or quantitative research workflows.
  • Background in performance profiling and GC tuning for low-latency services.
